Aftercare of your Keratin Smoothing Treatment
1. For the first 3 days (4 if you can) after your treatment you should:
- Wear your hair down; do not tie back or use clips, ties or sunglasses to hold it back or wear a hat.
- Do not shampoo your hair or get it wet. If your hair does get wet, blowdry and flat iron it straight.
- On waking, flat iron any kinks straight
- Do not use hair products eg. mousse, lacquer, styling pastes etc.
- Avoid activities that result in perpiration
2. When you shampoo your hair after three (four) days it is essential to use a sodium chloride free and sulphate free shampoo as these chemicals will degrade the keratin protein infused into your hair. Trichovedic have a range of suitable shampoos and conditioning treatments and masques which will ensure that your Keratin Smoothing Treatment looks stunning for as long as possible.
3. Swimming in sea or pool water will also reduce the lifespan of your Treatment. Apply Trichovedic HydroSpa Glossing Serum through your hair prior to swimming and / or wear a cap.
